Revelations

After many years of serving in the Cold War together, Orono decided to show Nadia all of his memories. Putting them both in a comatose state aboard the Cadfael, he guided his lover through his millennium long life. Nadia was awestruck, as Orono's memories showed events that had not even been recorded yet. There was also a glimpse of the future, showing the two of them living throughout eternity together. Orono told her that he had had and buried many lovers but there was no one who he cared about more than her. Since she had helped him recover from mourning Vyzeria, Orono felt a need to protect her.

With her consent the Everlasting Lovers could now spend immortal lives together.

Creating Gods and Goddesses

While deep in study in Kobru Omega, an ancient library world Orono saw a worrisome vision of the future. While the Jedi he had trained would do great things, he saw the people losing faith and rising up against the Jedi and the Republic. Orono knew his purpose: restoring faith to the people. Searching through several ancient texts, he found a way to create immortal beings through the Force. Out of the misery and hatred he felt from those around him, Orono created Vilyera, a raven haired goddess of death and vengeance clad in bone armor who could take the form of a large black bird and could raise armies of the dead. The next was Jygorn and the Brethren. Together they would serve as "myths for the people to call upon in times of need. However due to the abundance of war casualties, Vilyera would become the most powerful...

Rediscovering Legends

Orono had made many great discoveries in the four thousand years he had been alive, but none was greater than his journey to Hoth and discovering the Orion Brigade. During one of the calmer times of the Cold War, he had set out with his apprentice Nadia Grell to investigate rumors of Jedi artifacts in the area. However the world was not quite as deserted as they thought. They were under attack by ice hounds when a lone one-eyed man in rattletrap snow gear saved them. Introducing himself as Sergeant John "Grizzly" Kynlon, he took them to the wreck of an old troop transport. Inside were Corporal Seamus McKoron, Lieutenant Abraham Lee and Captain Nathan Verliss. Introducing themselves as they fabled "Orion Brigade" they told Orono their story. Once the pride of the Republic military, they had undergone ninety missions without fail. Everything changed when they came to Hoth. At the time, they planet was used as a mercenary safe house and was heavily guarded. After obtaining a list of all the enemy's targets, and just barely dodging all manner of laser fire, they called for an evac shuttle. The general leading them and Senator Konrad Byko came to greet them. However, instead of being helped onto the shuttle, the general and Senator gunned the soldiers down and left them for dead, resulting in their current injuries. With no other way of the planet, the Brigade was forced to search until the found the wreck they now lived in. Eager to help these disgraced heroes, Orono searched the tundra until he found an old holocamera. It contained the exact footage of Orion Brigade being betrayed. Upon hearing this, the Brigade joined Orono aboard the Cadfael and raced for Coruscant. Since their abandonment, the stories of the Orion Brigade had become legendary in the Republic. This was a great help when they went to confront Byko and the general in the heart of the city. When guards aimed at them they were in awe at the return of the heroes they had heard about all their lives. The guards even joined there cause and soon thousands of soldiers and civilians marched to Byko's home...

A Spirit of Twilight

On Tython things had become so grim that Orono decided it was time to share his memory of the future. Gathering all the Jedi together he projected the events of his original life. There were looks of shock and horror as the crowd observed the Jedi being gunned down throughout the galaxy. Orono then proclaimed that in order for the Jedi to survive, they needed to forsake their Code and begin anew, as their ideals made them predictable and easy for the Sith to counter. Both sides of the Force had to be embraced to defeat the Sith.

A Symphony of Chaos

Though usually a reserved man around others, Vorgen Cyphon felt more open with Kaliyo. Even his training to avoid all attachment could not suppress the feelings he felt for her. This had been affirmed after she had rescued him from the Iron Colossus. Knowing her anarchist background, Vorgen devised the perfect way to show his affection to her. Using his vast array of contacts he built the "Symphony of Chaos". He called Kaliyo into his cabin when all was ready and explained everything. Vorgen told her that he could decimate every foe in the galaxy and topple every government, but it wouldn't be the same without her. Secrets would be revealed and major revolutions would start and Vorgen wanted Kaliyo to be at the center of it. She said she would stay as long as he didn't rat her out. Vorgen never dreamed of it...

Imprisonment

After ten days, Vorgen awoke in the Iron Colossus, a top-secret Republic prison built within the city of Nar Shaddaa. Subjected to many forms of torture, his captors tried unsuccessfully to reveal his secrets. The only thing keeping him alive was a rattletrap power generator connected to wires. Escape would not have been possible without a prison-wide revolt. Surrounded by two billion inmates, many of them captured defectors, Vorgen told them how powerful they would be and the vengeance they could wreak if they joined the Sith Empire. The first step was to cut off the power supply, which allowed several high powered defense turrets to function. It was also during this time Vorgen secured a miniaturized prototype ship reactor and cybernetic heart. This increased his reflexes, strength and endurance one thousandfold. Unfortunately for the Republic, this prison was also where they stored state-of-the-art weapons and armor. After two weeks of preparation, the revolt began. The forces of the inmates and prison security were evenly matched and tore up the prison in the battle that ensued. With guard and prisoner dying around him, Vorgen ran through the carnage to make an escape. The spread of the battle did not work in his favor as all the shuttles and the launchpad he was on were destroyed. Vorgen prepared for his final fate until an alabaster white hand grabbed hold of him: Kaliyo Djannis. She had come in the Black Rose to save him. Working with her contacts on the world, she had planted a Nergon 14 bomb in the heart of the city. Once Vorgen was onboard, Kaliyo presented the Republic with an ultimatum: either they let her and the prisoners go free or the bomb would detonate. Seeing no way to avoid further destruction the Republic agreed. However, even after the prisoners had left, the bomb was still detonated. Confident with her success, Kaliyo told Vorgen he owed her a huge favor. This would all be repaid in due time...

Ghosts of the Past

After the construction of the Oblivion Reaper, Vorgen Cyphon had noticed some odd behavior from his partner Kaliyo Djannis. While she had been cool and confident on previous operations, she received news that shook her to the core. When asked, she told him that the Omega Strikers, an infamous group of warlords she had double-crossed had finally tracked her down. The Strikers were based out of an artificial moon called Hell's Ember and possessed entire armies at their command. Taking a large army with him, Vorgen set out to eliminate this threat. Using their own forces as a distraction, Vorgen and Kaliyo entered the mercenary base. With the rest of the soldiers fighting the Sith, the two were able to square off against the warlords. With a series of blaster shots and punches, Kaliyo was able to defeat all but the last of the warlords. As she was about to be finished off, a blaster bolt cleaved through the back of the warlord's head. Then the moon began to collapse. As the two headed toward the Black Rose, a metal beam fell forward and bored a hole through Vorgen's cybernetic heart. Now hobbling to the ship he vaulted the Black Rose into hyperspace. There was no proper time to heal however, as a Republic Retrieval Squad was nearby. Eager to capture the Empire's most valuable agent, they boarded en masse. Using all his skill, Vorgen held off eighty-two trooper squads to buy Kaliyo time to escape. Launching her escape pod was his last action before going unconscious.

Construction of the Oblivion Reaper

Growing uneasy at the influence Orono was gaining, Vorgen Cyphon decided to turn the Force against him. With the help of Nikolai Myrgon, a disfigured Imperial scientist and creator of the technology that threatened Orono's life he created the Oblivion Reaper. The largest battleship ever constructed by the Sith Empire, it boasted nine hundred and ninety nine weapons of all kinds, was large enough to carry an entire squadron of fighters and had enough room to carry an entire army. The power source was what gave the ship a lethal edge. Instead of traditional reactors, it was powered by a sphere of Force energy, stolen from thousands of Jedi artifacts. This supercharged the ship in ways beyond imagination.

The Dune Hunter: Encountering Qyzen Fess

After his second resurrection, Orono Zoiji was sent to observe a Sith base under construction on Tatooine. Officially described to the public as a research and medical facility, it was in fact a genetics and slave labor camp. During the night, Orono and his companion Nadia led a surprise attack. The duo's lethal control of the Force decimated anything sent against them. However they found that most of the prisoners had been killed by the experiments. Then the two encountered an armored Trandoshan warrior by the name of Qyzen Fess. He was wary of them at first, because he did not see too many outsiders. However when Orono and Nadia arrived at his base and explained everything, Qyzen saw them as trusted allies.

Fractured

Once again in the Netherworld of the Force, Orono Zoiji began rebuilding his power in order to return to the physical world. He had thought his robes and lightsaber destroyed in the black hole, but instead Nadia had saved them in time. He also made a discovery: his time around Force artifacts had been so long that he now embodied the light and possessed even greater power than his original self. Then, one day aboard the Crimson Warden Nadia saw the robes and lightsaber of her lover begin to vibrate and be enveloped in a grey mist. When it cleared Orono stood before her fully restored.

The Choice

Twenty years after the Battle of Ord Mantell, Orono Zoiji faced one of his first fears: not being able to return from death. The Sith had been creating technology to drain Force energy from parts of the galaxy, weakening the power that preserved his body making it rapidly wither and decay. As a safeguard he began storing amounts of what power remain into his lightsaber and robes. It did not take long for those closest to him to discover his deteriorating condition. The one most affected was his padawan, now lover Nadia Grell. Her care for him was so great that she would forsake the Jedi Code to keep Orono alive. It was also at this time Orono was tasked to destroy the very technology that was killing him. Once inside the research facility on an uncharted world, his location to the technology threatened to cause a black hole upon death. Using what little power remained, he flung Nadia and the ship out of the area, telling her to keep a weather eye through the Force. This was said only to comfort her for Orono didn't think even he would survive. Then to Nadia's horror the black hole opened and engulfed the entire planet with it...

Gaining the Trust of Kaliyo Djannis

Despite the turn of events at Ord Mantell, Vorgen Cyphon now a high-ranking member of Imperial Intelligence continued to build his private army known as the Hydra Legion. To help him lead this army he chose the anarchist criminal Kaliyo Djannis. With the vast resources and wealth available to him, Vorgen ensured she received the best training and upgrades, even starting a failsafe cloning process in the event of her suffering a critical injury. Kaliyo was not an individual whose trust was easily gained, and Vorgen Cyphon was one of the few to have tried and succeeded in doing so. In the several missions they had conducted, he had been given many opportunities to leave Kaliyo behind and escape, but he always made sure she was able to leave with him and let a body double be captured instead. He gave her the best weapons and armor, and even personal sparring to make her even more deadly than she was before. In return she gave Vorgen access to all of her criminal underworld contacts, giving the Sith technology that was years ahead of what the Republic possessed. Vorgen also granted her a rare favor: if ever she needed something illegal done or a secret kept, he would do so without question, even if held at gunpoint. Just as this was declared, one of Cyphon's superiors entered the captain's cabin of the Black Rose and attempted to kill Kaliyo, saying she had outlived her usefulness. Without hesitation, Vorgen drew his knife, charged at the commander and after both slitting his throat and breaking his neck sent him out the airlock. When asked later by Kaliyo why he had saved her, he replied he planned to make her the most feared revolutionary in the galaxy for years to come...

The Battle of Ord Mantell

Still reeling from the damage done by Vorgen Cyphon, Orono Zoiji was called in to help in a dispute over Ord Mantell. Guerilla bands were trying to leave the Republic and he was to be the mediator. His best student Nadia Grell was to accompany him. When diplomacy failed, Orono instead lead the defense of Ord Mantell. Or so it seemed. In truth, he had made a deal with the rebels. At the right moment both sides would jointly attack the buildings where the corrupt politicians were housed and bring them to justice. While surging through the buildings as planned, it was found the politicians had years worth of food and supplies, things that the rebels believed were being hoarded from them. The politicians were found, captured, tried and executed forthwith. Thus ended the Battle of Ord Mantell.

The Prometheus Project

As the Cold War dragged on, the Sith were looking for more ways to beat the Republic. A solution was found by Vorgen Cyphon who believed modifying the Republic's discarded soldiers with extensive cybernetic surgery would make them effective warriors. And thus the Prometheus Project was launched. The first subject was Ivan Xarok a general who had been left to die by his soldiers in a exploding ship. When brought in all that remained of him were burned organs, shattered bones and a severed head. By the end he had been completely rebuilt in a metal cybernetic body. His arms could launch explosives, his hands could become chainsaws, and in addition to his arm morphing into a lightsaber resistant sword, all his physical traits were increased tenfold. The incredibly durable metal that made up his body was concealed by a set of bloodied bones, to increase fear factor on the battlefield. The next subject was Doctor Krongel, a famed Republic scientist and surgeon. While working to create a strain of adaptable cells aboard a orbital laboratory, he came under attack from mercenary ships, releasing not only the cells but a deadly mix of poisons. Initially thought to be dead he had in fact been recovered by a Sith scout team. Upon examination it was revealed that the years of exposure to the poisons also made him dependent on them. Not wanting to waste his talents, the Sith created a needle-riddled apparatus, complete with a gas mask and cybernetic legs that would allow him to survive. Furious that the Republic had not come back for him the doctor renounced his name and became Cadaver.

Enter Agent Mirage

With the Republic currently occupied with the murder trials, Vorgen Cyphon now had proper time to train Ivana Jorloss, also known as Mirage in his craft. Due to her prior training, she was a phenomenal success, beating every opponent in close-combat sparring. She also had an unnatural talent for hacking, demolitions and long-range rifle use. Receiving in addition some cybernetics that enhanced endurance, strength and agility with lung implants that made her invulnerable to all poisons and able to "breath" in the vacuum of space, she was a true Imperial prodigy. Agent Mirage's first assignment was where she revealed her final talent: wielding a lightsaber. She had been sent to eliminate a Jedi enclave under the pretense of avenging the Coruscant Incident. A group of Padawans first moved in to fight her but with her enhanced strength she tossed them aside like rag dolls, pummeling them into submission. Then came a pair of Jedi Knights, who fared no better than their brethren as Mirage effortlessly dodged their blows and slit their throats with a survival knife. The last of her targets was the Jedi Master of the enclave. Using the anger of not being able to save her family, she charged at him delivering a series of punches and giving grievous wounds with her knife each time. Finally she had the master backed against the wall. As she grabbed the lightsaber from his hand ready to give the killing blow, she heard an unexpected sound: the raucous cheering of a crowd. She turned to see a battered but active receiver that had broadcasted the entire event to the families affected by the murders. Hungry for vengeance, they cheered and nearly begged her to give the blow. Without once flinching, Agent Mirage did so. There were of course those who believed this act was murder, but due to the current outrage of the past murders, Mirage was cleared of all charges and allowed to go free, sealing her place as Vorgen Cyphon's best student.

Framing the Jedi Order

Of all the damage Vorgen Cyphon had done to the Republic, no blow was more severe than the Coruscant Incident. A special nerve gas had been developed by the Sith to, when applied to a pursuer make even the most frail old man look like the one being chased. To test this, Vorgen Cyphon allowed himself to be captured over Coruscant and be taken to a Jedi-staffed prison. At the right moment during a brief loss of electrical power, Vorgen Cyphon released the gas into the air and ran past the dazed Jedi. The gas made the Jedi see anyone as Cyphon and they each attacked accordingly. To their horror, they discovered that the bodies instead belonged to innocent citizens. This caused an uproar in the Senate, who viewed the Jedi involved as mindless murderers. Several planets separated from the Republic and joined the Sith, completing Vorgen Cyphon's most vital mission.

The Midnight Executions

After recovering in the escape pod, Orono was assigned to a month-long guard of the Jorloss family, five members running a highly sought after mercenary contracting firm that was based out of Sanctus Prime and in talks with the Republic. Anything that was considering Republic alliances also became the target of Vorgen Cyphon, the Sith Empire's best assassin. The nights on Sanctus Prime were very long, up to weeks at a time making it perfect for quick murders. The first to die was family matriarch Markus Jorloss who as he was relaxing on a outside balcony, received a poison-laden bullet to the head, killing him instantly. The next victims were the three brothers, Eli, Ulion and Ghari. The three shared a passion for racing which would be their undoing. While repairing their Street Speeder vehicles, Cyphon placed in a miniature bomb to be activated when a certain speed was reached. Each of the brothers died together when the resulting explosion incinerated their bodies. The last member was Ivana Jorloss, the only daughter in the family. Unlike her father and brothers who led leisurely lives due to their wealth, she chose to lead a life of labor and military training, making her one of Vorgen's most difficult enemies in his entire career. Using a prototype disguise projector supplied by the Sith, he entered Ivana's room in the guise of a retired mercenary. She viciously attacked him, using a mix of fighting techniques not available to even the Sith. Eventually finding a gap in her defense, a battered and bruised Vorgen Cyohon gave her a strong sedative, called in a droid decoy of himself and escaped. As all this had occurred, Orono Zoiji was unable to find the culprit for the murders until he saw what he believed was Vorgen Cyphon fleeing the scene. However he found out all too late that it was a fake, for just after he had "Cyphon" placed on a prison transport it revealed itself to be a decoy and self-destructed destroying the ship and all onboard. The real Vorgen Cyphon had escaped hours before and awaited Ivana's awakening onboard the Black Rose. When this happened he explained to her that the unseen assassin that killed her family had been hired by the Republic, and that he would train her in all of of his skills to hunt him down and kill him. Ivana agreed and pledged all of her company's resources to the Sith Empire, securing her rebirth as Cyphon's apprentice: Agent Mirage.

A New Threat: Agent Cyphon

A year after the escape of the Esseles, Orono encountered a threat even worse than Darth Mortis: Imperial Agent Vorgen Cyphon. The most elite of his sniper regiment, Vorgen had been conducting assassination, bribery, blackmail and several other black ops missions without any flaw, which left a small trail to follow. As if that were not bad enough, he had the help of a spy droid SCORPIO and anarchist criminal Kaliyo Djannis to properly cover his tracks and frame another for the act. What little that was known about Cyphon was that his species was human, his home was Nal Hutta, the criminal center of the galaxy, traveled in the seldom-seen Phantom-class stealth ship, the Black Rose, and that in a training class of sixty others he was the only survivor. Rare evidence found aboard the Esseles suggested that he had a part to play in the attack. Then on a patrol over Coruscant, Orono spotted Cyphon, chased down his ship, and boarded. In the crew quarters, he and Cyphon squared off. In the midst of the fighting, Orono asked his opponent why he fought for the vile Sith instead of the Republic. Vorgen spat back that the Republic was, "a den of fat slugs, leaving many good men and women to die like dogs while its leaders cower in their holes". His family had not been exempt, either. When he was only a young boy, the simple house he shared with his family had come under attack by Hutt bandits. They begged the Republic for help, but as Nal Hutta was out of their influence Vorgen and his family were on their own. The worst came when Vorgen saw his entire family bound and shot dead in front of him. In a rage, Vorgen launched himself at the pirates, shooting one in the head and gouging out the eye of another. However the leader managed to shoot him five times in the head and chest, leaving him for dead. Six months later Vorgen awoke in a Sith medical facility now outfitted with cybernetics to increase his performance. Since then he had dedicated his life to avenging his family, one Republic life at a time. Remembering similar experiences, Orono let his guard down long enough for Vorgen to stun him and leave him unconscious in an escape pod. This proved to Vorgen that the Jedi, who likened themselves to gods could be beaten...

Operation: Bastion

After completing his training of the Jedi Phantoms, Orono was assigned to lead an assault team and re-capture the Esseles from Sith hands. For his team, he chose Nadia and veteran commandos Giotto Draw and Earease to help him. Once onboard they fought their way through many Sith troopers until finding a lone ambassador being held prisoner. Then they found the ship's engineers held captive as well. Despite the ambassador demanding that they be left behind for the sake of time, Orono decided to instead save the engineers, as they would need all the help they could get against the Sith. The group the encountered and defeated the elite soldiers on the bridge. They managed to get some of the Esseles's weapons online, buying them some precious time against the Sith ships. At the last minute, the engines activated and the ship vaulted into space.

Passing on Knowledge

With all angst for the Jedi removed, Orono decided to pass on the skills he had learned from hundreds of years of war. Originally given twenty students by Satele to train, in five years' time, they had become the elite Jedi Phantom Corps. These Jedi had power over the Force that rivaled Orono himself. Nadia was also one of his students, and according to many, the best. A fast learner, she mastered in four days what had taken the others four months. Orono also taught her the technique of spiritual essence transfer, allowing her to perpetually cheat death.

Orono's Freedom

After the return of his enemy Darth Mortis, Orono had been held prisoner in his own body for more than eighteen years. Taken aback by the acts occurring unchallenged by the Order, he had begun to lose hope. But then came the voice of the one closest to him: Nadia Grell. Her words of encouragement were all that was needed. Gathering all the power he had, Orono tore through Mortis' chains and the two dueled in spirit. Again, as before the duel started as a stalemate. Throughout the duel Mortis taunted Orono, saying that he was a fool to return and that nothing was left for him. Orono remained unaffected, as Nadia was now alive and he had learned that even though the Order was undoubtedly flawed he could help others see the error of their ways. This resolve gave Orono the strength to strike down Mortis once again, shattering his doubt and anger. However, before fading away Mortis gave this warning: "You can never escape the darkness!" Now back in control of his body, Orono reunited with Nadia and the two set of in a new Defender class ship to replace the destroyed Cadfael: the Crimson Warden to repent for the evil committed by his form.

The Slaying of the Elders and Dissention

With Darth Malgus now as his master, Darth Mortis set out to find and kill the last of the Jedi Elders. The Elders had built a base for themselves outside the Works District of Coruscant, armed with only two planetary guns and two soldier platoons. Entering the district his Fury-class interceptor Ragnarok, Mortis blasted the turrets with little difficulty. In addition, instead of fighting the soldiers, he projected a truth into their minds: that the Republic had left their families to starve and die after the war. This convinced the soldiers to join him and help to slay the Jedi. Within minutes Darth Mortis and his soldiers had burst through the base to confront the Jedi. Despite their skill, the ancient sages were killed in a series of blows. Then came Darth Mortis's age-old enemy: Satele Shan. Despite her ill-deserved title of Grand Master, Satele was no match for Mortis. She too, was quickly incapacitated and bound in chains. Seeing that the base had a galaxy-wide transmitter, Mortis decided to send this message,
"Ignorant people of the Republic! I have come to break you free of the chains that have bound you to the Jedi leeches. They pretend to protect you, but in truth they siphon the strength from you until it is exhausted in life or war. The Jedi cowards leave the old and broken to starve and die, as they are no longer of use to them. But my order is different. We take broken souls and reforge them into heroes beyond their wildest dreams. We have enough to feed you all for a thousand years of peace and you may live without ever fearing death. If you wish to be free of this prison, follow my ship to a new home and prosperity."

And in three months' time, follow, they did...

True Colors Revealed

Then on a battle-scarred space station over Coruscant, Darth Mortis realized his goal. Sith forces led by Darth Malgus were attacking the station in full force. Orono was fighting the invaders inside, and Nadia was commanding the defense fleet. When it appeared that Nadia's fleet was winning, a new swarm of Sith ships came, destroying Nadia's ship. Believing her to be dead, Orono flew into a fit of rage that allowed Mortis to resurface. Merging with the Jedi once again to become one personality, he morphed Orono's body into the charred, iron-clad suit form he once had. After brutally slaughtering the Jedi and Republic troops, Mortis knelt before Malgus and pledged his allegiance to the dark side. But as he would soon learn, Nadia had in fact survived...

Duel with Mortis

A year after the spread of the Inferi Breed, Darth Mortis and Orono faced each other in an epic duel. The two were evenly matched and as a result there was a long stalemate. However Orono's concern for Nadia lessened the power of the Sith Lord. After a series of lightning quick blows, he left Mortis for dead. Or so he thought. Just before his body decomposed, Darth Mortis projected a piece of himself back into Orono's mind to wait for the time he would make his opponent realize his true calling...

Mission to Tatooine: The Weapons Racket

Now properly re-alligned with the Jedi Order, Orono and Nadia received their first assignment together. Prototype weapons were being sent from Tatooine under the nose of the Republic to pirate space. To find the culprit, the two were sent to the planet and began the investigation. They started in a seedy cantina called Bloody Mary, a favorite haunt for weapons dealers. Even though the patrons tried to resist questioning, heavy drinking loosened their tongues. Eventually Orono and Nadia traced the deals to a local politician, Vktor Xelnovich. This led to a street chase, with Orono and Nadia following sabers blazing. The chase ended in the starport, with Vktor being subdued after a brief fight.

An Emotional Loss and Encountering Nadia Grell

In all the years that Orono had served the Jedi Order, no event hit him harder than the loss of his love, Vyzeria. On a mission to Korriban, he and Vyzeria were separated while chasing a Sith Lord on the run. There had been an ambush lying in wait and Vyzeria ran right into it. Moments later, Orono found her bleeding to death on the ground, for even with all her power, she was not immortal. Overcome with sorrow, Orono begged and pleaded with his love not to leave him. She replied that death comes for all, even those that are loved, before becoming one with the Force. Now filled with utter rage, Orono charged after the Sith Lord, viciously attacking him and taking his head as a trophy. Seven years' time was devoted to mourning his love. It would not be until he encountered fellow Consular Nadia Grell that his anger and grief wound abate. A calm and collected soul, she helped Orono come out of his grief and hate for the Order, bringing the two closer as a result...

A Failed Experiment: The Birth of Darth Mortis

Now in quiet seclusion on Taris, Orono attempted an experiment never before seen: to create life. This required a great deal of Force power and concentration, for if even one mistake was made, the consequences would be dire. This was the unfortunate result for Orono, for in the midst of the process, his feelings of contempt and anger at the Jedi Order were given form: that of a ravaged man in an iron vital suit. Taking the name Darth Mortis, this being immediately engaged Orono in battle, asking why he remained loyal to a weak and fragile Order. After fending off Orono, Mortis, fled to join the Sith Empire, warning Orono the day would come when he would embrace what he had created and join the Sith.

The Jedi Schism

Ten years after the Alderaan Crisis, the greatest event in Jedi history occurred. Finally having had enough with the Order's ways, Orono called for a secession from the Tython temple entirely. The current master Satele Shan argued that he did not have the wisdom to guide his own Order. Orono laughed at this saying she had only won and lost two battles, where he had lived through hundreds, and thus had more experience than she could ever hope to have. This easily swayed the younger padawans and Knights, prompting nine hundred Jedi in total to answer Orono's call. The entirety of Clan Immortal was included in this event, irreparably damaging Satele Shan's authority.

The Bombing of Alderaan (Alderaan Crisis)

After the brutal slaughter of the Flesh Raiders, another crisis arose to test Orono's loyalty to the Jedi. The Sith Empire had relentlessly launched bombing runs on the planet Alderaan and the Jedi were debating whether to send aid. Remembering that being bogged down in politics was the main reason the Jedi Order had lost the Great Galactic War, Orono was an advocate for leaving them where they lay, calling Alderaan's senators and politicians in general a "spineless" and "expendable breed". This argument eventually won out and the Order focused on those who deserved help rather than shifty senators.

A Den of Wolves and Crows

Now among the new Jedi Order based on Tython, Orono finally believed his brethren would uphold their duty to protect the weak. That all changed with the coming of the Flesh Raiders. They had begun openly attacking the civilian population on Tython, who had little means to protect themselves. Time and again, Orono begged the Council to help but they refused, saying that becoming involved would weaken the Order. Enraged, he lashed out at the Order, calling them hypocrites for intervening only when it was most convenient and openly vowed to help the people of Tython, with or without their permission. Orono gathered a small group of Clan Immortal members and approached the Flesh Raider camp. No mercy was shown that day.

Healing Old Wounds

After having his sight restored in the form of his previous life an elderly human male, Orono constantly felt the grief of someone close to him echoing through the Force. Upon further investigation he found this presence to be his lost lover, Vyzeria. Working in secret and in violation of the Jedi Code, Orono created a body for her spirit to possess in order to rejoin him in life. The body was that of a human woman and contained a significant amount of Force power, equal to his own. Orono also performed these acts for Giotto and the rest of Clan Immortal, giving his comrades new life and the chance to fight for good once again.

Post-Mortem and Rebirth

After his demise on Korriban, Orono wandered through the netherworld of the Force until he found the spirits of the old masters. In order to ensure another generation of Jedi would be made to combat the Sith, he was sent back to the days of the Old Republic in a new form. With his memories intact Orono would train acolytes, slay Sith and help to correct past mistakes, protecting the future of the Jedi Order. He now exists as a Jedi Shadow, servant of the Republic and captain of the Defender-class frigate Cadfael.

Orono's Last Battle

After fifty years of fighting the Empire, Orono felt a summons throughout the Force to come to Korriban for one last battle. When he arrived, he saw that thousands of others had arrived for the same purpose. The conflict quickly began, with large casualties on both sides. Orono hacked his way through countless Stormtroopers until he reached the more seasoned Skull Brigade. Known for constant success against Jedi, their attacks proved too difficult for Orono to handle even with his Force power. Receiving multiple chest wounds and the loss of both eyes, Orono limped to the entrance of a nearby temple. He fell back against the side of a statue. Summoning the entirety of his power, Orono opened a rift that consumed half the planet, killing himself in the process.

Clan Immortal

Some time later Orono went on to join the guild known as Clan Immortal, a group of rebels dedicated to the downfall of the Empire. Some of them were even defectors, former generals and fleet commanders. As a gift for joining the guild Orono was bequeathed the legendary RIS armor, able to withstand any attack. He even fought along side this group in the epic Battle of Echo Base with the legendary commando Giotto at his side. This guild truly did live up to its name, for if a member did happen to be killed this group has an inexhaustible supply of bodies to be reborn again and again.

Joining the Rebel Alliance and the Defector I

Shortly after his establishment as an enemy of the Empire, Orono soon gained a position in the Rebel Alliance. His task, among other things, was to hunt down and eliminate any deserters to their cause. To accomplish this, they gave him a heavily modified KSE Firespray known as Defector I. In addition to possessing top of-the-line weapons and armor supplied by the famed shipwright Cimabue, the ship also had a identify-friend-foe scrambler, allowing it to seamlessly blend in to even the most hostile zones of Imperial space. Orono soon built up a fierce reputation, leaving no survivors if their ship bore an Imperial insignia and commonly targeted prototype weapon and scientist carriers, sending 2,000 of the Empire’s top scientists to their deaths.

Re-imergence and War against both Jedi and Sith

After escaping with Vyzeria, Orono soon came into possession of an old Sith holocron. Upon activation, the spirit was revealed to be that of an ancient Sith Lord known as Darth Malgus. While attempting to access his knowledge, Malgus’s spirit broke free and entered Orono’s body…

Death and Meeting Vyzeria

Then on one fateful raid on Dathomir, Orono died for what would be the first of many times. While slaying the mutant rancors the Empire was breeding, one managed to grab and impale him on one of its many horns. Due to his large amount of Force energy, he was able to cheat death, but only briefly regain consciousness. The last thing he saw was a sword-wielding figure slaying the beast that held him. When he next awoke, he was in a stone hut held together by large bones. Then he discovered who his savior was: A white-skinned woman with raven hair named Vyzeria. While Orono was grateful to her for preventing his death Vyzeria herself was cautious, as Dathomiri witches are not accustomed to outsiders. When asked why she had saved his life, she told him of a vision that dictated she save a dying man and that he would save her life One day, he finally found a way to prove his gratitude. When she had gone on a hunt, Vyzeria had gone too far into Nightsister territory and unbeknownst to her, one of their best hunters was stalking her. Eager to save her life, Orono leapt into the air, lightsaber ignited and cleaved its silver blade across the hunter’s neck. Vyzeria was grateful to him for saving her life but it was forbidden for male and female warriors to be equal on Dathomir. It was after this that the two gradually developed a secret love, which was soon discovered. Unable to exist without each other, the two slipped away on the next transport and out into the galaxy.

Activation and Comrades

Fifty-seven years after his completion, the clone, Orono Zoiji as he was later known, was picked up by a passing squad of Stormtroopers. On the way back to their Genesis-class freighter, Orono convinced the troopers Torch and Viper, who were also clone survivors that even though the Empire had taught them well, they hadn’t taught them everything. He proceeded to implant a surge of Force power into his comrades, dubbing them “Neo Jedi”. This act combined with proof from Orono’s cryo-sleep observations that the Empire had butchered their creators caused Viper and their division the 901st Infantry (a.k.a. “White Locusts”), one hundred billion soldiers to join him and go rogue.

Origin: Project Demigod

In the heat of the Clone Wars, an experimental project on Kamino was launched to create a clone with the power of twelve Jedi. DNA from Yoda, Kuroxis, and ten other Jedi was used in the experiment. The increased amount of Jedi blood was so great that it granted the clone Force powers in addition to eternal life. Equipped with heavily modified Phase II armor and a Juyo Saberstaff, the clone had great potential. Unfortunately, he was completed just as the cloning facilities were being purged by the Empire, so the clone would not awaken until the Galactic Civil War began.
